If you mean the gate latch, this one is easy for adults to use, proven very safe, and very inexpensive. I belive a fence should be around a pool at all time not just when a small child is visiting for the hole time to protect all the children that lives close to it also

True, but if adults are there, for example on weekends using the pool, especially with a large group when fence would just be in the way, you have the option of leaving it up or temporarily setting it aside. Or if you have no kids and a fenced yard you could use it for added safety when grandkids visit or friends with kids.
